Meet O'Malley (blonde tabby) and his brother Oliver (brown tabby). Don’t let their shy demeanor deter you from getting to know them. They have had a rough beginning. Living on their own in an industrial park with their colony and surviving on just the kindness of one man willing to feed them daily. They knew nothing but survival, and humans were scary.
Once they were both trapped, they were put into a large wire dog crate so that I could begin to work on socializing them. They watched my interactions with the other rescue cats from behind the wires of the cage and slowly became interested in getting to know me. They quickly began to let me handle them and pet them, especially during breakfast and dinner time. After about 2 months, they were integrated into a colony room and did well. Allowing me to continue to touch them and interact with them e,ven with the room to run around.
These babies are super playful, especially with each other, and love to chase their cat toy and climb their cat towers. O'Malley is much braver than his brother Ollie and will come around much faster. Ollie hisses out of fear, but has never been mean or aggressive. Just terribly scared and will need a small room. With his brother to acclimate and become accustomed to his new surroundings.
These babies deserve someone who is patient and willing to give them several months to acclimate. Someone kind and able to sit quietly with them while they eat breakfast and dinner, and pet them gently, and just take their time with these babies! They really do come around, as I found out personally, but they will need time and patience! They are both current on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
