With good food, medical care, and a safe place to land, she has blossomed into a healthy, happy girl. Her eyes are brighter, her body is strong, and her spirit is slowly learning that people can be gentle and kind.
Lady Luck is shy at first and will need a calm home that understands she may take a little time to feel secure. Once she does, patience is rewarded—she reveals herself to be a sweet, loving cat who enjoys quiet companionship and soft affection.
She is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, and has tested negative for both FIV and FeLV. Lady Luck is now ready for the forever home she’s been waiting for.
Sometimes the best things in life are worth waiting for—and Lady Luck is no exception.
A Note About Adopting a Shy Cat
Lady Luck is a shy, gentle girl, about 2 years old, who will need time to feel safe in a new environment. She may hide at first, move quietly through the home, or observe from a distance while she learns that she is truly secure. This is completely normal for a cat with a difficult past.
She gets along well with other friendly cats and may feel more confident in a home with a calm feline companion. Her friend in the rescue is our one and only Bruiser, another shy and gentle giant. (see his bio) Lady Luck is also available for foster or foster-to-adopt, allowing her the chance to settle in at her own pace while giving her caregiver time to watch her personality unfold.
Shy cats don’t open up on a set timeline. Trust is built slowly—through patience, gentle routines, soft voices, and letting her take the lead. When Lady Luck feels safe, she becomes a loving, sweet companion who forms deep bonds with her people.
Adopting or fostering a shy cat is incredibly rewarding. You may not see instant affection, but the quiet moments of progress—the first time she relaxes near you or seeks out attention—are truly special.
Lady Luck would do best in a calm, low-traffic home with someone who understands that love takes time—and that the reward is well worth the wait.
